  • Wet or soggy soil over your drain field.
  • Black or dark gray ooze from the surface of your drain field.

Drain Field Restoration FAQS

HOW CAN ADVANCED SEPTIC FIX YOUR DRAIN FIELD PROBLEMS?

Advanced Septic’s drain field treatment can restore your soil, so you don’t have to replace your drain field entirely or worry about property damage to your El Paso, Douglas or Pueblo County property. Most companies will just tell you to replace your drain field, costing you thousands of dollars you could have spent elsewhere. But we don’t recommend following their advice.

HOW DOES OUR SEPTIC DRAIN FIELD TREATMENT WORK?

We inject compressed air around the drain field, at a controlled depth, breaking up an overgrowth of the sewer biomat on the walls of the drainage area and loosening up the soil in the absorption soil, so that it moves away and evaporates as designed. Our machine also allows oxygen into the system, allowing it to have a healthy environment for the bacteria that can digest the biomaterial.

WOULD IT BE ENVIRONMENTALLY BETTER TO INSTALL A NEW SYSTEM?

Not necessarily. With a septic system, the soil in the absorption area becomes contaminated. Unnecessary replacement can contaminate even more soil. If the current system can be kept healthy and working properly for many more years, the environmental impact is greatly limited. Often space for a new system is very limited — leaving no reasonable options. When the system can be maintained or rejuvenated, it benefits everyone.
