Septic System Inspections

OWTS (septic system) inspections are now required in my counties before a home sale can be completed.  The process does require a licensed inspector.  We would be happy to inspect your system and ensure that the county required process is followed.

our practice

Colorado’s Trusted Septic Inspection Professionals – Serving El Paso, Douglas, Pueblo and Teller Counties.

While having an inspection during the sale of a home is important in every case to protect both buyers and sellers, the OWTS inspection is specifically required by the health department.

In Colorado, the majority of counties mandate a Septic Use Permit for property title transfers, necessitating certification by a NAWT Inspector to ensure compliance with current standards.

At Advanced Septic, we hold the necessary certifications to conduct these vital inspections. Moreover, we offer comprehensive assistance with all the associated paperwork, streamlining the process for your convenience.

Septic System Inspection FAQS

Am I required to pump my tank as part of the inspection process?

While pumping is not required if the tank is not at certain levels it is always a good idea as a full inspection is difficult with a full tank.

Why does the county require this inspection?

The inspections are to ensure continued functioning of the OWTS.  A malfunctioning system can cause problems with ground water and aquifers as well as cost new owners sometimes tens of thousands in costly repairs they were not expecting.

Who pays for the OWTS inspection?

Usually the seller pays the cost for the inspection.
